Wireless routers or access points have a limited distance within which they can communicate with wireless computers. The actual distance differs by manufacturer, and also varies in relation to the environment.
Atlas Broadband supplies a Wi-Fi router to all customers as part of service, they generally provide a coverage radius up to 100 ft, which is sufficient for most standard homes.
For best results, the router should be installed in the center of the area of use.
Customers can also purchase a router with stronger coverage or a wireless repeaters to cover a larger area.
